Sheetal Mafatlal has a new, ‘hard to forget’ friend

Recently, a photo of Sheetal Mafatlal being carried on a tray by three of her friends in London emerged on social media. One of the men in the picture is Mark Francis Vandelli. Here's what you should know about this `hedonistic, perfectionist' 26-year-old: O Vandelli's full name is Mark-Francis Vandelli Orlov Romanovsky. He is the son of Diane Boulting-Casserley, supposedly with links to Russian aristocracy, and Marzio Vandelli, an Italian industrialist. (Even deep Googling doesn't yield too many details.

Except that Casserley used to be an ambassador for Yves Saint Laurent.) He shot to fame in 2011, when he starred in a British reality television show Made in Chelsea. It follows the lives of a group of 20-somethings who live in and around London's exclusive postcodes. Vandelli's parents had apparently threatened to disown him if he appeared in the reality show, but the family eventually made peace. Vandelli was quoted saying, "It goes without saying they eventually forgave me anyway. I'm their only son, I'm hard to forget."

Reportedly, one of Vandelli's close friends is Rob Sheffield (brother-in-law of UK prime minister David Cameron). An article chronicling the flamboyant ways of the two friends featured Sheffield dressed in a yellow dress, alongside Vandelli.And based on what each had to say about the other, it's safe to assume that the two run a mutual admiration society. Sheffield said of Vandelli, "Once you've spent an evening talking with Mark, everything becomes technicolor."

He featured on Esquire's list of Britain's best-dressed men at 21. A qualifier that seems to be used for him often.
