She dreamed of flying at her nani’s home: Years later, she did something for her grandmother that left the internet in tears

“15 years ago, I went to my Nani’s home to prepare for the @igrua_official entrance. 10 years after securing my first job with @airindia I’ve gotten this beautiful opportunity to bring life full circle. Last week, I flew my Nani from Pune to Delhi in the @indigo.6e aircraft I was the captain of. An ode to all the family, friends, teachers, seniors and colleagues over the years, for their immense support and encouragement. This moment shall remain with me for a long long time.”

She recalled staying at her grandmother’s place while preparing for the entrance exam of the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi. That period, she suggested, was one of the early building blocks of her career. From there, things slowly moved forward, leading to her first job with Air India and eventually to becoming a commercial pilot.

Years later, the same journey seemed to come back in a way she did not expect. She was not just flying a routine route from Pune to Delhi, she was also flying someone who had been part of her starting point.
