Shashi Ruia imports India's first Tesla, Harsh Goenka asks for a ride

RPG enterprises chairman Harsh Goenka is quite the social media maverick, and rarely does a day go by without a tweet from the industrialist.

This weekend, amid posts about his wish list for Christmas and books that inspire him, Goenka shared pictures of a brand new Tesla car, supposedly the first import to India.

“Top businessman imports the first Tesla in India. My dream car! Hope he gives me a ride,” Goenka joked, sharing pictures of the smart car. Seconds later, he was flooded with questions regarding the owner of the swanky car.

Given the buzz in business corridors for a while, one user guessed if it was Essar Group’s Shashi Ruia, Goeka confirmed it with a simple “Yes.” We’re keeping our eyes peeled to spot Ruia whiz by in his shiny new wheels.
