Shahid Kapoor’s wife, Mira Rajput reveals a truth about their mariage to his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor Khan: ‘I am very fun when he’s not …’

It is unheard of for a star’s ex-girlfriend and wife to sit down and have a cordial conversation about him, with no resentment or controversy. But that’s exactly what Kareena Kapoor Khan and Mira Rajput did for an episode of the podcast What Women Want Season 6. At the beginning of the podcast, Kareena warned fans that she would not let her history with her Jab We Met co-star play a big role in the interview. “Everyone’s very excited that you and me are sitting on this couch, but my couch has nothing controversial. We will only talk about what women want,” she said.

Mira opened up on how she and the Kabir Singh star share parenting responsibilities. She said that it is not possible for one person to handle all responsibilities, so they do it jointly. Mira said, "One person can’t do everything..."

“Sports and diet is Shahid’s responsibility,” Mira revealed. “Homework, birthday parties, classes, general behaviour…that’s me,’ she added. Kareena joked that all the fun things always ended up with the father.


Mira joked that she was very fun when the Haider actor was not around. “They love me when he’s not around; I do the fun things, and they can stay up late with me,” she said.

She also revealed how she keeps the kids grounded despite them being an actor’s children. She explained both she and Shahid had sat down with the kids and told them that their journey to success involved hard work.

“The kids understand that to achieve something, you have to work very hard towards it,” she said.

Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor appeared together in a bunch of films such as Fida, 36 China Town, Chup Chup Ke and Jab We Met in the mid-2000s. Of these, only Jab We Met was a commercial success, and it was also their last film as a pair. They reportedly split during the filming of the movie. She later began dating Saif Ali Khan, and the pair married in 2012. They have two sons – Taimur and Jehangir.

Shahid tied the knot with Mira Rajput in 2015. The couple have two children, daughter Misha (born 2016) and son Zain (born 2018)
