Juhi Chawla was one of the biggest names in ‘90s Bollywood. She starred in many iconic movies, such as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, Darr, Ishq, Yes Boss, etc. She made hit pairings with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan. In 1995, she married entrepreneur Jay Mehta. According to the Hurun Rich List 2025, her networth is a whopping Rs 7,790 crore. Juhi resides in a luxurious bungalow at Malabar Hills, South Mumbai.

Chawla and her family gave Siasat.com a glimpse into their palatial home in 2023. The Hill Bungalow was built in 1956 by Jay Mehta’s father Mahendra. He renovated the home with architect Channa Daswatte.

Unparalleled Opulence

The living room is a work of art that dazzles your eyes with its sheer opulence. The floors are covered with intricate carpets. Altar candles and antique metal lions add to the room's attractiveness. In some of the pictures which Juhi shared on her Instagram, you can catch a sneek-peak at a pristine all-white hall which features a white fountain, intricately carved walls and flawless marble floors. In another picture, we can spot an antique swing that is suspended between two wooden pillars. This location is highlighted with marble flooring and a brown and white colour scheme, just like the remainder of Juhi Chawla's bungalow.


Another picture which shares moments of her niece Shivani’s Mehndi event, which was held at her house, shows off an intricate, golden-hued door, which looks simply glorious.

When you step into the open court area, you are greeted by the sight of Bali sandstone mandalas, a fountain, regal-looking stone pillars and tantra art by Ajit Mookerjee.

A Superb Terrace

In 2020, Mehta flaunted his magnificent terrace in an interview with the Architectural Digest. The upper terrace is bathed in shades of red and features a lot of antique carpets and lobster-pot ottomans. Unmatched vistas of Marine Drive and Back Bay are highlighted by double-height jali screens.

The rear terrace, which overlooks the Arabian Sea, is furnished with an Indonesian teak wishbone table. Italian turned-wire dining chairs surround the table, which is framed by two frangipani trees that are lit up at night.

As per a Mint report, much of Chawla’ wealth comes from the meteoric rise of the Indian Premier League cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders, which she co-owns along with her husband and also her long-time friend and co-star, superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
