Shah Rukh Khan to promote Bengal as sweetest part of India along with Tollywood superstar Dev
In a bid to bring Bengal on every tourist’s itinerary in the country, the state awaits a stud campaign ready to be shot by the end of the end.

“The West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation (WBTDC) has set aside Rs 8 crore for the ad film, for which we have hired the reputed agency Ogilvy & Mather for Rs 75 lakh. Darjeeling, Dooars, Bolpur and the sea-side tourist destinations would be among the touch points,” said state tourism minister Bratya Basu. SRK who is volunteering to shoot for these ad films is said would not charging be any fees. Basu however said that provisions would be made for the actor’s payment.
That’s not all. Basu also said there would be a series of ad films of not less than a minute’s duration to promote Bengal tourism. Each of these films would however be carrying the same tagline of ‘experience Bengal – the sweetest part of India’.
The campaign is not just about SRK promoting the state, accompanying him would be Tollywood superstar Dev in many of the promotional films.
