While the award was a joyous moment for the actor, fans also noticed something unusual in the video message—Khan’s right arm was in a sling. The injury occurred during the shoot of his upcoming film King, directed by Siddharth Anand. According to a report by Hindustan Times, the incident happened on set in Mumbai while Khan was filming an intense sequence.Although the injury was described as muscular and not serious, the actor has been advised to rest for a month and even travelled to the US for medical attention. Production on King, which marks his first on-screen appearance with daughter Suhana Khan, has been paused for July and August.
Despite the physical setback, Khan maintained his signature wit in the video. Clad in a black T-shirt, beanie, and trousers, he thanked his audience while making light of his condition. “I would love to spread my arms and share my love,” he said, “but I’m a bit indisposed.” He still managed to recreate his iconic open-arm pose, albeit with just one hand.
