Shah Rukh Khan discusses his fixation with mean espressos

He eats like a bird , doesn't know what to do in a restaurant and survives on tandoori chicken. But when it comes to caffeine, Shah Rukh Khan is a glutton. He drinks about 30 cups of black coffee a day, in place of even water. He tells ETPanache what goes into his perfect cup: “I drink only an espresso.

It’s convenient, fast and idiot-proof. Fill it, shut it and press the button. I carry my Nespresso machine all over the world, I have it in my (make-up) van; I only like that particular coffee. Sometimes, I’ve travelled somewhere for a day and because I’ve forgotten to carry it along, I’ve been mad enough to buy it and make sure it’s in my hotel room.

Luckily, 90 per cent of hotels have it. Recently, I went to Malaysia and forgot it, so I had to go out and get it. As a matter of fact, I’ve gifted it to a lot of actors who say that they like my coffee. “I’m not a connoisseur of cof fee though.

I overdo it, I drink too much. Black, with a little sugar, any blend. I believe my problem with coffee, smoking and even talking, is an oral fixation. It’s got nothing to do with taste. I have to do something with my mouth.
