LOS ANGELES: The seventh installment of the hugely successful ' Fast and Furious' film franchise will be titled ' Furious 7.'

Universal Pictures announced the new title via Facebook, thus becoming the first movie in the film series to not have the word 'Fast' included, according to Hollywood Reporter.

The film's first poster was also released, featuring the full cast - Dwyane Johnson, Michelle Rodriguez, the late Paul Walker, Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris and Jordana Brewster.

Indian actor Ali Fazal will also be seen in a small ole in the movie.

Production was halted last November due to the tragic death of Walker, who was killed in a car crash when visiting a charity event in Valencia, California, so the use of stunt doubles and CGI were acquired in order to complete the late star's remaining scenes.

Universal also enlisted the help of Cody and Caleb (Walker's brothers) to stand in as the actor's doubles for several key scenes. In June, it was reported that Cody, who must be impressing the filmmakers while shooting 'Furious 7,' is set to star in additional films as his own character.

The announcement includes the 'Furious 7' trailer release date of November 1.

Universal releases the film on April 3, 2015.
