Seven Netflix new releases to watch this weekend: Gandhari, The Gentlemen Season 2 to Dhamaal 4, new movies and shows on OTT

September’s first weekend is here, and Netflix has lined up plenty to keep you glued to the screen. There’s a mother on a dangerous mission, a crime drama returning with more chaos, and a much-loved comedy franchise making its way to OTT. Add a reality series, a sports documentary and a horror-comedy to the mix, and there’s something for almost every kind of binge-watcher. Here are seven Netflix releases to add to your weekend watchlist.

Gandhari – Netflix

Taapsee Pannu takes centre stage in Gandhari, an action thriller about a mother pushed to extreme limits after her daughter goes missing. The film follows Bani as she begins a desperate search that takes her into a dangerous world connected to child trafficking. As she gets closer to the truth, her journey turns into a fight for survival and revenge.


Directed by Devashish Makhija and written and produced by Kanika Dhillon, Gandhari stars Taapsee Pannu along with Ishwak Singh, Chhaya Kadam, Swastika Mukherjee, Mita Vashisht and Jatin Sarna. The film premiered on Netflix on September 3, 2026.

The Gentlemen Season 2 – Netflix

Guy Ritchie’s crime comedy-drama The Gentlemen is back with its second season. Theo James returns as Eddie Horniman, the aristocrat who finds himself deeply involved in the criminal world after inheriting his family estate and discovering its connection to a cannabis empire.

The new season picks up after Eddie has become more comfortable with his criminal ambitions. Kaya Scodelario returns as Susie Glass, while Daniel Ings, Ray Winstone, Joely Richardson and Vinnie Jones are also part of the cast. New faces include Hugh Bonneville, Benedetta Porcaroli, Maya Jama, Michele Morrone and Sergio Castellitto. All eight episodes of The Gentlemen Season 2 began streaming on Netflix on September 3, 2026.

Turning Point: Generation 9/11 – Netflix

25 years after the September 11 attacks, Netflix’s Turning Point: Generation 9/11 looks at how the event continues to influence people who were born after the attacks or were too young to remember them.

The documentary follows people whose lives were shaped by the events that followed, including children who lost parents on 9/11, journalists who covered the wars that came afterwards, young Afghans who experienced the US withdrawal and Marines involved in the final days of the 20-year Afghanistan conflict. The feature-length documentary premiered on Netflix on September 2, 2026.

Dhamaal 4 – Netflix

Fans of Bollywood comedy have another reason to stay indoors this weekend as Dhamaal 4 arrives on Netflix. The fourth instalment of the popular franchise brings back Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Riteish Deshmukh and Jaaved Jaaferi.

The story revolves around a treasure hunt after a dying man reveals information about the legendary treasure of Shaitaan Singh. A damaged map, rival groups and a mysterious island turn the search into another chaotic adventure. Ravi Kishan, Sanjay Mishra, Esha Gupta, Sanjeeda Sheikh and Anjali Anand also feature in the ensemble. Dhamaal 4 began streaming on Netflix on September 4, 2026.

Earle Meets World – Netflix

If reality shows are more your thing, Earle Meets World offers a look into the life of social media star Alix Earle. The series follows the influencer as she manages her career, growing business ambitions, family relationships and personal life while living under constant public attention.

The eight-episode unscripted series features Alix Earle along with members of her family, including her sister Ashtin Earle, parents Thomas and Alisa Earle, sisters Izabel and Ashley, and close friend Sally Carden. Earle Meets World premiered on Netflix on September 4, 2026.

Korean Kanakaraju – Netflix

Varun Tej takes on a supernatural role in the Telugu horror-comedy Korean Kanakaraju. The film follows Kanakaraju after he becomes possessed by a Korean spirit and must deal with his strange new identity while trying to protect his family and uncover the mystery surrounding the spirit.

Directed by Merlapaka Gandhi, the film stars Varun Tej, Ritika Nayak and Satya Akkala. Korean Kanakaraju started streaming on Netflix on September 4, 2026, with Telugu as the original language and dubbed versions available in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly – Netflix

For sports and documentary fans, Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly revisits the extraordinary rise of Australian breakdancer Rachael Gunn, better known as Raygun. She became an unexpected global sensation after her unconventional performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics sparked memes, criticism and widespread online discussion.

The documentary explores Gunn’s journey to the Olympics and the intense attention that followed her performance. Directed by Chapman Way and Maclain Way, the film features Rachael Gunn as herself. Untold Raygun: Breaking Badly was released on Netflix on September 1, 2026.
