‘See you on the 11th’. Samantha Ruth Prabhu fights myositis, promotes new film ‘Yashoda’

The actress is also all set to make her Hollywood debut soon.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is back to what she does best, acting. The bubbly actress who was recently revealed to be suffering from myositis, a rare autoimmune condition, refused to be bogged down by her diagnosis and chose to show up on the sets to promote her new film ‘Yashoda’. The ‘Kushi’ star revealed that she had taken a page out of film-maker Raj Nidimoru who is known to prioritise work regardless of personal crises.

The actress took to Instagram to share new pictures of the promotional event. She shared a post with her fans with a cheerful caption, “Like my good friend @raj.nidimoru says, no matter what the day is like and how shitty things are, his motto is to Shower, Shave, Show up!! I borrowed it for a day. For #yashodathemovie promotions .. see you on the 11th.” The actress was sporting a black outfit which she accessorised with a pair of glasses.
Earlier, the actress had revealed that it was the love from her fans and well-wishers that kept her going despite whatever hardships life threw at her. She had shared a picture of herself with a drip at a hospital and thanked her fans for appreciating the trailer of ‘Yashoda’. “Your response to the Yashodha trailer was overwhelming. It is this love and connection that I share with all of you, that gives me the strength to deal with the seemingly unending challenges that life throws at me,” she wrote.


‘Yashoda’ which features Prabhu in the role of a surrogate mother is slated to hit the theatres on Nov 11. The suspense thriller is written and directed by the duo Hari Shankar and Harish Narayan.

On the work front, the actress is looking forward to an exciting line-up of movies. She will soon be making her Hollywood debut with the romantic drama ‘Arrangements Of Love’. This movie will be helmed by the 'Downton Abbey 'director Philip John. The actress was last seen in ‘Kaathuvaakula Rendu Kaadhal’, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara.
