Second film based on Sushant Singh Rajput announced, will explore the life of strugglers in Mumbai

The tragic demise of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput has left the country in shock. As Bollywood struggles to cope with the loss of the actor, a few film-makers from the industry have expressed their keen interest in making a film based on Rajput’s life. Director Sanoj Mishra, who has earlier made films like ‘Lafange’, is the second director to announce a film based on the late actor’s life.
According to a Times of Indiareport, Mishra clarified in an interview, that the film will be partially based on the life of ‘Kedarnath’ actor and will be titled ‘Sushant’.
Shedding light on the theme of the upcoming film, Mishra also revealed that ‘Sushant’ is not a biopic but a story of struggling actors who come to Mumbai in hope of fulfilling their dreams to make it big in Bollywood and are subsequently forced to take harsh steps due to the harassment.
The film is likely to be shot in Bihar and Mumbai.
Sanoj Mishra is known for films such as ‘Srinagar’, ‘Nawab’, ‘Lafange’, ‘Gandhigiri’ and more. Earlier, director Shamik Maulik had announced that he will be making a film on Sushant’s life, titled ‘Suicide or Murder: A Star Was Lost’.
Meanwhile, Sushant’s close friend and producer Sandip Ssingh shared a poster for his directorial debut Vande Bharatam, which had Sushant in the lead.
