Second edition of Global Indians launched

The book recognises the work of Indians who have flourished in their respective fields and have received global acclaim.

The book features 21 Indians, including PM Narendra Modi; ministers Sushma Swaraj and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore; Prakash Amte; industrialists; sportspeople and Bollywood personalities.
NEW DELHI: The second edition of the ‘Global Indians’, published by The Times of India Group, was presented to Vice President Venkaiah Naidu by Magsaysay awardee Prakash Amte and his wife, Mandakini Amte.

The book recognises the work of Indians who have flourished in their respective fields and have received global acclaim. It features 21 Indians, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi; ministers Sushma Swaraj and Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore; Prakash Amte; industrialists; sportspeople and Bollywood personalities.

The book was also presented to commerce and industry minister Suresh Prabhu and information and broadcasting minister Rajyavardhan Rathore.


Prabhu lauded the first generation entrepreneurs as visionaries who have been featured in the book. He said, “India needs to create more job makers than job seekers.”
