Second Case of Seetharam OTT release details
The makers have confirmed that Second Case of Seetharam will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video from April 17, 2026. The announcement was shared through the film’s official social media handles. Along with the original Kannada version, the film is expected to be available in multiple dubbed languages including Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi, making it accessible to viewers beyond Karnataka.Story continues from the first film
The film serves as a sequel to Seetharam Benoy Case No. 18 and continues the journey of Inspector Seetharam. This time, the character finds himself dealing with a far more complicated situation, both professionally and personally. The story is set in the town of Anegadde, where a series of deaths begins to raise suspicion. These are not random incidents. As middle-aged men start dying without a clear pattern at first, things slowly begin to point towards something more serious. The possibility of a serial offender comes into focus when a mortician suggests a link between the cases.
Seetharam, already under pressure, has to mobilise his team at the police station and work through scattered clues. Just when one case seems to settle, another comes up, keeping the investigation constantly moving.
Alongside the investigation, the film also spends time on Seetharam’s personal struggles. His strained relationship with his elder sister runs parallel to the main plot. This part of the story doesn’t overpower the crime angle but adds a bit of emotional weight to the character. It shows how his work and personal life keep clashing, something that remains unresolved through much of the narrative.
Cast and crew details
Apart from Vijay Raghavendra, the film features Gopalkrishna Deshpande and Usha Bhandari in key roles. The film is written and directed by Deviprasad Shetty and produced by Shetty along with Sathwik Hebbar under the Flying Elephant Story Tellers banner. It is also presented by Pavan Wadeyar. On the technical side, cinematography is handled by Hemanth Acharya, while editing is done by Shashank Narayana. The music for the film is composed by Navaneeth Sham, which supports the suspense-driven tone of the story.
For those who may not have seen it, Seetharam Benoy Case No. 18 followed a principled sub-inspector who gets transferred to a rural police station in Shivamogga. There, a series of burglaries and violent events lead him to uncover a deeper, unresolved case known as 'Case No. 18.' The sequel builds on that base and takes the story forward with higher stakes.
