Sean Diddy friendship, Danny Masterson letter: Can Ashton Kutcher’s Hollywood career survive twin blows?

Ashton Kutcher’s already floundering career in Hollywood is unlikely to be restored to its former glory anytime soon. Kutcher has been revealed to have been a guest at disgraced rapper Sean Diddy Combs’ notorious parties. Along with his wife and ‘That 70’s Show’ co-star Mila Kunis, Kutcher was met with public outrage after writing letters in support of their former That '70s Show co-star, Danny Masterson, who was recently convicted of rape.

Both actors were among nearly 50 people who submitted letters asking the court to consider leniency before Masterson received a 30-year-to-life sentence last Thursday for the sexual assault of two women in 2003.

Despite Masterson's insistence on his innocence and plans to appeal, Kutcher and Kunis’ letters have sparked controversy.


In a video posted on Instagram on Saturday, Kutcher explained that Masterson's family had asked them to share their perspective on his character, hoping the judge would consider their views in the sentencing decision. Kunis clarified that their letters were not intended to challenge the legal process or the jury's verdict but simply to describe the person they had known for over 25 years.

In light of this controversy, another past issue has resurfaced, further damaging Kutcher’s reputation in Hollywood. Old comments he made about his long-time friendship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, whose legal name is Sean Combs, are now drawing scrutiny following Combs’ recent legal troubles. Combs has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and coercing women into prostitution.

The indictment against Combs also includes allegations of kidnapping, forced labor, and bribery, portraying him as a central figure in a criminal network accused of exploiting women and coercing them into participating in elaborate and highly orchestrated sexual acts with male sex workers. While Combs denies all charges, his arrest followed a raid on his Los Angeles residence in March, where law enforcement reportedly seized items allegedly connected to these activities.
