The Scottish actor was 90 years old.

Sir Sean Connery, legendary James Bond star, has died at 90
Sir Sean Connery, the first actor to play James Bond, has died, the BBC reported. The Scottish actor had celebrated his 90th birthday in August.

The actor starred in seven 007 films between 1962 and 1983, and is often regarded as one of the best on-screen portrayal of of the British spy.

With a career spread over decades, an Oscar, two Baftas and three Golden Globes were among the several accolades the actor was honoured with.


The actor, who also starred in films like 'Indiana Jones' and 'The Untouchables', was knighted by the Queen in 2000.
