Scam 2010 OTT release details: When and where to watch the show on Subrata Roy's controversies by director Hansal Mehta

The Scam franchise is back with another story inspired by one of India's biggest financial controversies. After exploring the stock market scandal involving Harshad Mehta and the stamp paper scam led by Abdul Karim Telgi, filmmaker Hansal Mehta has returned with the story of Sahara Group founder Subrata Roy in the third instalment, titled Scam 2010: The Subrata Roy Saga.

When and where to watch Scam 2010?

Sony LIV has unveiled the first-look teaser of the upcoming series, introducing actor Siddharth Bodke as the businessman.

Scam 2010 is set to release online in January 2027, on Sony LIV, as per the streaming platform.


Produced by Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment, the series is the return of Hansal Mehta as director. He previously directed Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and served as showrunner for Scam 2003: The Telgi Story.

Siddharth Bodke plays Subrata Roy

The first-look teaser gives a glimpse of Siddharth Bodke dressed in a suit, walking through a hotel lobby and speaking about the trust people place in the Sahara organisation.

The teaser also connects the upcoming series with its predecessors. It begins with Pratik Gandhi as Harshad Mehta from Scam 1992, followed by Gagan Dev Riar as Abdul Karim Telgi from Scam 2003, before introducing Bodke as Roy.

The new season also has its own catchphrase: "Logon ka hum par sahara hai, aur yeh sahara abhi tak hara nahin hai."

Besides Bodke, the reported cast includes Kritika Singh, Moon Banerjee and Aditya Srivastava. Sumit Purohit joins Mehta as co-director.

What is Scam 2010 about?

Based on journalist Tamal Bandyopadhyay's book Sahara: The Untold Story, the series will explore Subrata Roy's journey from building a small savings scheme to establishing one of India's largest business empires.

It will also examine the controversies surrounding the Sahara Group and the financial crisis that eventually brought Roy under intense public and regulatory scrutiny.

Speaking about the series, Hansal Mehta described it as a story about ambition, influence and the arrogance that can accompany success.
