SC hears Rhea plea to transfer FIR; asks Maha, Bihar, Sushant Rajput's father to file replies
The apex court was hearing a plea filed by Chakraborty.

In her plea in the apex court, Chakraborty had alleged that Rajput’s father used his 'influence' to get an FIR filed against her in Patna.
According to news agency ANI, the SC has directed all parties to file their respective replies within three days. Further hearing in the matter will be held after a week.

Earlier today, the Centre gave a nod to the Central Bureau of Investigation taking over the investigation. Solicitor General Tushar Mehta stated in the apex court that the Centre has accepted the request floated by the Nitish Kumar government recommending a CBI inquiry into the case. The CBI, which falls under the Union Home Ministry, will now take over the probe.
The 'Kedarnath' actor was found hanging in his Mumbai apartment on June 14, and the investigation in the case has taken a murky turn over the course of one and a half months, with governments and police of both Maharashta and Bihar involved, and several top names being dragged in.
Earlier in the week Patna city SP, Vinay Tiwary, who had reached Mumbai to investigate the case was 'forced into quarantine' by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC). This "forcible" quarantine of the IPS officer was slammed by Bihar CM Nitish Kumar who voiced strong disapproval of the move.
