Savannah Chrisley breaks silence on 27-year age gap with fiance: ‘His body is …’ Who is Jason Galanis? Why was he sentenced to 189 month in prison and told to pay $162 million?

Reality TV star Savannah Chrisley recently created a stir when she announced her pregnancy with partner Jason Galanis, who is an entrepreneur. As the news spread like wildfire, there was a backlash at Galanis’s murky past and the considerable age gap between him and the Chrisley Knows Best star. She is 29, and he is 56, as per People magazine. Galanis, as per reports, was sentenced to 189 months (11 years) in prison in September 2020 for engaging in several fraud schemes.

Galanis was also connected to Hunter Biden, working alongside him and their business associate, Devon Archer. In March 2024, while still serving his prison sentence, Galanis testified as part of the congressional impeachment inquiry into then-President Joe Biden. One year later, Donald Trump commuted Galanis' sentence in March 2025.

According to a Yahoo News report, one of the fraud schemes deprived an investor and a Native American tribal entity of tens of millions of dollars through the issuance of tribal bonds. Some of the money raised from those transactions was used to buy financial firms as part of a plan by Galanis and his partners to absorb them into a bigger firm called Burnham Financial Group, which listed Biden as vice chairman. However, Biden was not charged.


"Jason Galanis orchestrated two multimillion-dollar fraud schemes and hid behind a team of co-conspirators to conceal his involvement and defy an SEC ban," acting U.S. attorney Audrey Strauss said at the time of his sentencing, per the United States Attorney's Office.

Galanis and Chrisley began dating in July last year. On May this year, she hinted she was in a relationship but declined to name an individual on an episode of Unlocked. In October, she revealed his name.

They became acquainted when he reached out to congratulate her after Trump pardoned Todd and Julie Chrisley (who were in prison for financial crimes) on May 28, 2025. The duo continued to text daily, and their relationship gradually turned romantic over the next few months.

She also addressed the elephant in the room – their 27-year age gap – in an episode of Unlocked. “Yes, there is a huge age gap there, OK? "And that’s probably part of the reason why I kept a lot of it quiet, because I know how brutal the public can be. But I genuinely do not care."

She also admitted her father had not been very pleased with the age gap as well. “For me, I’m not dealing with the insecurity of a younger guy who’s trying to keep up. Honestly, it’s the healthiest relationship I’ve ever been in,” she said. She also said he was her cheerleader and biggest supporter.

She also praised him for looking young and fit for his age. “He doesn't look his age, nor does he act his age. His body is great; his mind is even sharper. [...] This person is the love of my life."

Yesterday, Chrisley took to Instagram and announced her pregnancy. She shared a video of herself holding ultrasound pictures and her and Jason kissing, while she held her baby bump protectively.

“I’ve prayed for this life. I’ve cried for this life. And there were moments I truly wondered if this life would ever be mine,” she wrote on Instagram.

As per The Tab, his previous net worth was a negative $2.3 million; however, his 2025 pardon by President Donald Trump obliterated $162 million in penalties, and he was also ordered to pay $80 million in restitution after he pleaded guilty in 2020. However, he was pardoned and absolved by Trump.

According to Hollywood Life, his personal assets are now under $1 million, and his net worth is about $2 million.
