Sara Arjun's Euphoria OTT release update: Director Gunasekhar reveals why Bhumika Chawal's Telugu movie won’t stream online

After a successful run at theatres with Dhurandhar, Sara Arjun once again took over the big screen with her latest movie, Euphoria. Directed by Gunasekhar, the Telugu movie released on February 6 and features Bhumika Chawla, Gautham Menon and Vignesh Gavireddy in key roles. Now, the director opened up about its digital release after its theatrical run.

While promoting the movie, the director Gunasekhar talked about the trend of audiences not going to theatres instead waiting to watch it at home on OTT. Reacting to his, he stated that his latest movie Euphoria is exclusively made for the big screen.



At the event, the filmmaker further added that releasing Euphoria online would detract from the emotional experience that he had worked so hard to produce. Gunasekhar noted that the film is aimed at theatregoers and provides complete value to those who choose to see it in theaters. He also appealed to family audiences to support theatrical viewing instead of postponing it for an OTT release.

Ahead of the release, Sara Arjun has called her latest film Euphoria a very special and personal project. After attending the film’s premiere, she shared an emotional note on Instagram about her journey with the movie.

Sara said the film came into her life at a time when she was unsure about many things, yet hopeful about the future. She thanked director Gunasekhar and producer Neelima Guna for believing in the story and backing it with honesty.

Sara also expressed gratitude to her family, especially her father. She said he has always supported her, listened to her, and given her the freedom to make her own choices.


Speaking about her experience, Sara shared "This film pushed me emotionally and made me uncomfortable in the most meaningful way. To everyone reading this, today this film has reached you. I truly hope it connects with you in some way. To me, this is a very important story…idi okka special film."

In Euphoria, Sara plays the role of Chaitra, a troubled teenager in a Telugu social thriller inspired by real-life incidents. The film deals with serious themes such as drug abuse and youth crime and also stars Bhumika Chawla and Gautham Menon in key roles. Apart from this project, Sara will next be seen in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the second installment of the Hindi blockbuster movie, which is scheduled to release in theatres on March 19, 2026.
