In the midst of shooting an action sequence, Dutt felt excruciating pain in his ribs and popped a painkiller for relief.

MUMBAI: Sanjay Dutt has suffered a hairline fracture while filming his comeback project 'Bhoomi', but the actor has decided to not take a break from the shoot.

The Omung Kumar-directed movie marks the 57-year-old star's first big-screen outing after he completed his jail term and the actor wants to wrap the film as per the schedule.

"Sanjay Sir has had a hairline fracture in his hand but he wants to complete the major chunk of the film by the end of March. He is taking rest, but will not be taking a break from the film's schedule as he doesn't want to disturb the shoot," a source from the production unit told PTI.

The revenge drama revolves around the relationship between a father and daughter. Actress Aditi Rao Hydari is cast in the role of Dutt's daughter. Actor Sharad Kelkar will be seen in the role of the antagonist.

'Bhoomi' is slated to release on August 4.
