Sania Mirza shares her life mantra in Instagram post after divorce from Shoaib Malik

Tennis icon Sania Mirza has been sharing cryptic posts on Instagram following her divorce from cricketer Shoaib Malik. In her latest post on Instagram Story, for instance, she posted a picture of a cup with the quote 'Enjoy little things in life.' This cryptic messaging coincides with her recent separation from Malik, suggesting a period of reflection. A few days ago, Sania shared a photo featuring her son and niece, where the tennis star is seen embracing both children tightly. The caption accompanying the picture read ‘lifelines’. Sania Mirza is one of the widely followed sports personality on social media with over 12 million followers on Instagram.

In a recent post, captioned "Chin up princess, or your crown slips', she had shared a photo of herself dressed in a multi-coloured attire as the former tennis player posed for the camera.

Last month, Anam Mirza, sister of tennis star Sania Mirza, confirmed Sania's divorce from former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik. Anam, married to Assaduddin, son of former India skipper Mohammad Azharuddin, made the announcement on her Instagram handle, expressing Sania's longstanding preference for privacy regarding her personal life. Shoaib and Sania had got married in the Indian player's hometown Hyderabad in April 2010 and they used to live in Dubai. They announced the birth of their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik, in 2018. . Their five-year-old son Izaan lives with Sania.


The confirmation of Sania's divorce came shortly after Malik's marriage to Pakistani actress Sana Javed. Malik shared images from their wedding on Instagram, captioned with "And We created you in pairs," while Javed also posted pictures from their 'Nikaah' ceremony. Javed gained fame for her roles in popular Pakistani television dramas like 'Shehr-e-Zaat' and 'Khaani.'

Rumors about differences between Malik and Sania had circulated since 2022, with the couple rarely seen together in recent years. Malik's decision to unfollow Sania on Instagram further fueled speculation.

Sania had received widespread support in Pakistan following Malik's revelation of his marriage to Javed. Many criticized Malik and Javed for their respective divorces and accused them of breaking up marriages. A podcast on Samaa TV alleged that Malik and Javed had been involved in an affair for three years while still married to others. The podcast claimed that Javed had divorced her former husband, Umair Jaswal, only three months before marrying Malik.
