For the past few days, the Internet has been rife with rumours that the power couple had hit a rough patch and a divorce may be on the cards. Ever since the tennis star wrote a cryptic post on Instagram about ‘’broken hearts’’, several netizens speculated that trouble may be brewing in the Mirza-Malik household. On November 6, Mirza wrote on Instagram, “Where do broken hearts go? To find Allah.” There were reports of a split along with claims of alleged infidelity. Malik’s name was linked with Pakistani actress Ayesha Omar and their bold photoshoot became viral on social media.

In the middle of all the rumours, the couple announced that they would be co-hosting a talk show ‘The Mirza Malik Show’. Pakistani channel Urdulix officially announced the show on their social handle on November 12.

Some netizens felt the couple was trying to create a buzz for their show.

According to sports magazine Inside Sport, a close friend of Malik reportedly confirmed that the duo is heading for splitsville. “Yes, they are officially divorced now. I can’t disclose more than that but can confirm that they have separated,” said the source. However, neither Malik nor Mirza confirmed the news.

The tennis star recently celebrated her birthday away from Malik. Although the Pakistani all-rounder wished her a happy birthday on social media, it did not gain a like or a response from Mirza.
