Samsung resumes One UI 4 rollout for Galaxy S21, Flip3 and Fold3 after fixing bugs

Samsung's stable updates to One UI 4 based on Android 12 for its devices were halted last week due to a bug with Google Play compatibility. However, Korean tech giant has fixed the bugs and is ready to resume the roll out of One UI 4 for Galaxy S21, Flip3 and Fold3.

The incident with the bug happened five days ago, but the issue seems to have been sorted out after Samsung collaborated with tech giant Google over the holidays to resolve the problem.

The rollouts have finally started, according to a report in GSM Arena.


Meanwhile, it is also being reported that Samsung's 'Galaxy S20' smartphones will also receive the stable update of Android 12-based One UI 4 next.

The Korean smartphone maker has been testing the Android 12-based One UI 4 beta on the Galaxy S20 series for some time now. However, the line-up won't get any more beta builds, the report in GSM Arena said.

According to speculations making the rounds on the Internet, the tech company is on schedule to provide the One UI 4.0 update to its customers sometime in January.

Samsung will also be releasing the One UI 4 for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20 Plus, Galaxy S20 Ultra, and Galaxy S20 FE next month as the new year kicks in. For better visibility and customised appearance on the screen, One UI 4.0 offers redesigned and upgraded widgets.

Now for customers who already own any of these devices such as Galaxy S21, Flip3 and Fold3, can look for an update manually on their smartphones, as they might get lucky.

The stable update will give a major update to the home screen, buttons, menus bar and background to the table. The devices are set to receive updates on various emojis, GIFs, and stickers that have been added to the keyboard.
