Samsung might launch Galaxy Grand Max, not Galaxy Grand 3
Samsung India sent teaser invites earlier this week to the media stating the launch of ‘The Grandest Ever’ smartphone next week.

Samsung India sent teaser invites earlier this week to the media stating the launch of ‘The Grandest Ever’ smartphone next week. The invite led to rumors that Samsung might be launching the Galaxy Grand 3 exclusively in India. However, an updated invite received today points towards the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Grand Max.
The updated invite from Samsung India has the line ‘The slim and stylish device is already making waves internationally.’ This indicates that the new Grand smartphone Samsung plans to launch has already been announced and released internationally. The Galaxy Grand 3 is yet to be announced, so it cannot be already making waves internationally. Out of the Grand series of smartphones, the only phone announced in January 2015 is the Galaxy Grand Max. The logical interpretation with the new invite is that Samsung plans to launch the Galaxy Grand Max next week and not the Grand 3 as rumoured.
Galaxy Grand Max features a 5.25-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels and is just 7.9mm slim. Weighing 161 grams, the phone features a new pattern finish on the rear panel and runs Android 4.4. Hardware includes 1.2Ghz quad core Snapdragon 410 processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB storage and a 2,500mAh battery. Other features include microSD slot for expansion, WiFi, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and radio.
For photography lovers, the Grand Max comes with a 13MP primary camera and a front 5MP camera for selfies. Both cameras are capable of video recording in full HD resolution. The phone is also 4G ready, although it is not clear if it will support the Indian 4G spectrum.
Samsung has already announced that the phone will be available exclusively on Snapdeal.com. We expect the Galaxy Grand Max to be priced between Rs 17,000- Rs 20,000 when its launched.
