Samsung launches Galaxy M51 with 7,000mAh battery starting at Rs 24,999, sale begins next week

NEW DELHI: Samsung launches its 'Meanest Monster ever'. Adding to its M series, the smartphone-maker unveiled its mid-premium Galaxy M51 with an industry-first 7000mAh battery.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 730G Octa-Core processor, the device will come in two storage variants - 6GB + 128GB at Rs 24,999 and 8GB + 128GB at Rs 26,999, expandable up to 512GB via microSD card.

It will be available in two colours – Electric Blue and Celestial Black.


Sale of the device will start next week on September 18 at noon on Amazon India. As a part of the introductory offer between September 18 and September 20, HDFC Bank Card users can avail a flat Rs 2,000 discount on the e-commerce giant.


It has a 6.7-inch Infinity-O display with Super AMOLED Plus technology. The quad-camera setup at the back features a 64MP main camera (F1.8), 12MP ultra wide angle camera with 123-degree field of view, a 5MP macro shooter for extreme close-ups and a 5MP depth sensor. The primary rear camera has a Sony IMX682 sensor.

The phone features a 32MP selfie camera with Sony IMX616 sensor.

The camera and video features include various filters, best moments highlight, smart crop option, Hyperlapse, Boomerang, among others.


The massive battery is the highlight of the phone which also brings 25 watt super fast charging capability. The company claims that it charges from 0 to 100 per cent in just 115 minutes. The phone will also work as reverse charger. Users can charge another device on-the-go from M51 using a Type-C cable that comes in the box.

For gamers, the device is powered with AI Game Booster and Adreno 618 GPU.

The sleek device weighs only 213 grams, and is 9.5mm thick.

The phone will come with face and side fingerprint lock scanner. It will will be pre-loaded with Android 10, OneUI.

The device was launched last month in Germany before the India launch.
