Samsung Gear S: Finally a smartwatch with data connection

Yes, the rumors are true: Samsung just announced a smartwatch with a data connection. The Samsung Gear S can make phone calls. Because why the hell not?

The Tizen powered device offers a Dual core 1.0 GHz processor, a 2.0-inch 360 x 480 Super AMOLED display, 512MB RAM, 4GB onboard storage, a (measly) 300mAh battery and yes, Wi-Fi, 2G, and 3G data connections.

The Gear S also includes a suite of sensors including a heart rate monitor and GPS. It's also got a pair of Bluetooth headphones—the Gear Circle—that will let you issue voice commands and make calls from your watch without looking like Dick Tracy and are presumably sold separately.
