The new AirTags, priced at $30, is tiny devices that can be stuck to items such as keys and wallets to locate them when they are lost. The new device was applauded by analysts as a likely hot-seller that would also keep the company's more than 1 billion customers locked into its products.

A refresh of the iMac desktop line boasts seven colour options, harkening back to the famous candy-coloured iMacs that helped Steve Jobs revive Apple in the 1990s. It has 24-inch display, slightly bigger than old 21.5-inch iMac.

The tech giant also unveiled an all-new stunning purple finish for iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini. Both models feature an advanced dual-camera system that delivers powerful computational photography features and the highest-quality video in a smartphone.

Apple launched the new iPad Pros, starting at $799, which uses the same M1 chip as Apple's other computers, rather than the beefed-up version of iPhone chips found in previous models. The tablets also have additional ports for connecting monitors and 5G connectivity, while featuring a higher-quality display than the company's laptops.

Apple also announced new paid podcast option that will join an increasingly crowded field of digital antertainment and information subscription services. The subscription feature comes with an overhaul of the Apple Podcast platform that lays credit to kicking off the trend with its launch 15 years ago.

From May, users around the world will be able to sign up for podcast subscriptions for perks such as ad-free listening or exclusive content from creators.

Apple updated its Apple TV set top box with better colour output and a faster processor chip. The new Apple TV 4K will also let users improve a TV's picture by using light sensors on the iPhone.
