Samsung Galaxy S23 Series likely to be unveiled at Galaxy Unpacked event in February ‘23

The South Korean tech giant Samsung is gearing up to launch its next-generation flagship smartphone series, the Galaxy S23 at the Unpacked Event scheduled to be held in the first week of February next year.

The much-anticipated series has been a part of several leaks and speculations for a few months now.

Samsung was supposed to launch the smartphones, the non-foldable ones, during the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023.


However, as per a recent report that cited a company executive, Samsung will be launching the much-awaited flagship series in February 2023 at the event being held in San Francisco, US, which could be the tech giant's first launch.

The upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy S23 series will include the vanilla Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

"The S23 series will be shown during our own Unpacked event in the US, which will be held in February," the executive was quoted in Gizmochina.

As per a previous report, the Galaxy S23 series will feature Qualcomm's third-generation ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.

However, it is still not clear whether the upcoming smartphone by Samsung will feature the same 3D Sonic Max sensor Qualcomm which debuted earlier this year or a completely different fingerprint scanner.

The tech giant has traditionally used Qualcomm's Snapdragon chipsets for all its Samsung Galaxy smartphones, which were available in select markets such as the US, while other markets across the world get the Exynos variants.

Whereas the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is tipped to flaunt two camera options of a dedicated 200 megapixel shooting mode and a 50 MP shooting sensor.

As per a report by tipster Ice Universe is true, then the smartphone will flaunt a 200 MP primary camera on the back, which will also shoot in pixel binning for its 50 MP shooting mode combining four pixels into one.
