NEW DELHI: Samsung has given its Galaxy Grand Max smartphone a price cut, bringing down its price by almost 20%.

Galaxy Grand Max, which was launched at Rs 15,990 in February this year at Rs 15,990, can be purchased for Rs 12,990 now onwards. The South Korean giant is holding a special sale on June 19 where it will sell the smartphone at Rs 11,990, giving it an additional discount of Rs 1,000.

Buyers will also get offers worth Rs 11,000 by Snapdeal and its partners, like Yatra, Aircel, FoodPanda, ZoomIn etc on purchasing the smartphone. Kotak Mahindra debit and credit card users will get an additional 10% discount on the purchase.

Snapdeal is the exclusive seller of Samsung Galaxy Grand Max in India.

The Samsung Galaxy Grand Max sports a 5.25-inch HD (720x1280p) TFT display. The phone measures 7.9mm in thickness and weighs 162gram.

Powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor and 1.5GB RAM, the smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage expandable up to 64GB via microSD card.

Galaxy Grand Max runs Android 4.4 KitKat with Samsung's TouchWiz UI skin on top. It sports a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies.

In terms of connectivity, the dual-sim smartphone supports 3G, 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and GPS. It's powered by a 2,500mAh battery.
