Indian fast food could be the trump card for any White House powwow.

Just hold the green chilli for Potus but bring on the green chutney.
Industrialist Anand Mahindra has a taste for choice repartee, so it is not surprising that his tongue-in-cheek tweet that US President Donald Trump should consider serving samosas instead of burgers at his next technology CEOs’ roundtable drew approving slurps.
The White House had ordered in piles of hamburgers, sandwiches and fries from major fastfood chains when he hosted winning sports teams from several US universities last year. He had said then that the choice was also meant to support American business.
With Indians now dominating the top echelons of the technology — and several other — industries, a different menu for any future White House powwow with them may be worthwhile. Chicken samosas were served during President Barack Obama’s term, so they may not go down well with his successor.
However, Trump loves burgers, so the obvious alternative would be vada pao or ‘Bombay burger’ — brought from one of Washington DC’s many Indian restaurants, to keep it local. Just hold the green chilli for Potus but bring on the green chutney.
Chaat and kathi rolls — Indian burritos, as Tex-Mex aficionado and Google’s big enchilada Sundar Pichai might call them — are also possible choices.
With President Trump scheduled to come to India for the first time later this month, a foretaste of any Indian fast food would be educative.

Last month, a Melbourne man was the victim of one of the strangest burglaries. The thief did not make away with the expensive items in the house. Instead, he just ate all the chocolate. The victim was quoted saying, “He ate all my Cadbury Favourites.” The thief also enjoyed several cans of drink, cut his toenails and would have probably fixed himself dinner if the home owner didn’t come home when he did.

“Anyone offered large quantities [of chocolate] via unconventional channels should report it to the police immediately.” That was the public service announcement that was issued in April 2018 in Germany when thieves made off with a truckload of Nutella and Kinder chocolate eggs. The stolen treats were worth more than $80,000. The police were clueless about the motive of the robbers and suggested they were after the truck the chocolate spread was stored in.
Large-scale food thefts are not unheard of in this particular part of Germany, as five tonnes of coffee and a truckload of Red Bull energy drinks were also on the hit list.
