Samantha Ruth Prabhu injures herself on sets, shows bruises while filming action sequence

South sensation Samantha Ruth Prabhu is putting a lot of hard work into her upcoming movies.

On Tuesday, the actress took to Instagram to share a picture of the bruises she incurred while shooting for an action sequence.

The 'Family Man 2' star dropped a picture of her wounded hands from sets. She wrote, "Perks of action."

Samanth's fitness trainer Junaid Shaikh reshared her post, and wrote, "The world calls it scars, we call it jewellery." Director-friend Nandini Reddy, who helmed Samantha's 2019 Telugu comedy 'Oh Baby', also shared her post with the caption, "Behind the scenes. Making of a champion."

The details of her upcoming action movie weren't revealed. Going by the Instagram Story post, fans can expect another collaboration between Samantha and Nandini.

Recently, Samantha continues working out in Nainital when the temperature dropped below eight degrees Celsius. She has been battling with an autoimmune condition called Myositis.

The actress never misses a chance to share her inspirational fitness video with her 24.7 million followers on Instagram.

The 35-year-old was last seen in 'Yashoda' which received a positive response from the audience.

Meanwhile, on the work front, the actress is busy promoting her upcoming project 'Shaakuntalam'.

Based on Kalidasa's work, the movie is about the story of Shakuntala and her courtship with King Dushyant. It also features the curse of rishi Durvasa which made Dushyant forget his love for the 'apsara'-like Shakuntala.

Directed and co-produced by Gunasekhar, the film will hit theatres worldwide on April 14. It was set to release on February 17, but was postponed due to unknown reasons.

'Shaakuntalam' will mark the film's release in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil languages.

Samantha will be seen in India's 'Citadel' series, alongside Varun Dhawan. The action thriller web series are already underway in Italy and India, respectively. She is also preparing for her upcoming romantic film 'Khusi', opposite actor Vijay Deverakonda.
