Samantha Ruth Prabhu in tears as Alia Bhatt applauds her. What RRR star said
Although they’ve never worked together on-screen, Alia Bhatt and Samantha Ruth Prabhu hit it off instantly when they crossed paths. The Ye Maaya Chesave actress was among the attendees at the lavish pre-release event for Bhatt's upcoming film Jigra.

Addressing the actress, Bhatt said, “Sam, my dearest Samantha… Rightfully so, you are a hero, on and off-screen. I have so much admiration for your talent, resilience, and strength,” Alia said, as Samantha’s eyes filled with tears. “It’s not easy to be a woman in a man’s world. But you have surpassed gender. You stand tall on your two feet, with your talent and strong kicks, as an example for everyone.”
Bhatt also thanked the ‘Yasoda’ star for promptly agreeing to attend the event when she messaged her. She also requested filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas to direct them both in a movie. “They say, actresses usually compete with each other, but there’s no such thing. I am so grateful that today, I have a pan-India superstar here to support my film,” she said.
About ‘Jigra’
Directed by Vasan Bala, ‘Jigra is an action drama that stars Alia Bhatt and Vedang Raina in the lead. The movie narrates the story of a young woman who must race against time to rescue her younger brother who has been wrongfully imprisoned. The film also features Sobhita Dhulipala and Aditya Nanda.The movie has been produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Alia Bhatt, Shaheen Bhatt, and Soumen Mishra under the banners of Dharma Productions and Eternal Sunshine Productions. It will hit the theatres this Friday.
