Samantha Ruth Prabhu has the perfect comeback for troll who claimed she ‘lost all her charm and glow’

Southern star Samantha Ruth Prabhu silenced trolls who claimed she had lost “all her charm and glow”. Instead of a scathing reply, the ‘Yashoda’ star decided to kill 'em with kindness.

A Twitter page called BuzzBasket shared a picture of the ‘Kushi’ actress along with a rather insensitive caption, “Feeling sad for Samantha, she lost all her charm and glow. When everyone thought she came out of divorce strongly and her professional life is seeing heights, myositis hit her badly, making her weak again."

Under the guise of being sympathetic, the post came off as cruel and condescending. In the picture, the ‘Pushpa’ actress is seen sitting pretty in an off-white chiffon sari. She is also seen sporting glasses.


The ‘ Majili’ star hit back gracefully. She wrote, “She wrote: "I pray you never have to go through months of treatment and medication like I did... And here’s some love from me to add to your glow."

Fans of the star also came out in droves to call out the thoughtless post. One Twitter user commented, “There's no need to feel 'sad' for @Samanthaprabhu2, who is doing so much work with such dignity and grace, despite her difficult situation. I think she looks amazing. We should only feel sad for this tweet that purely channelises the restrictive, voyeuristic male gaze.”
Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan also criticised the insensitive post. The ‘Bhediya’ star wrote, “U don’t feel bad abt anything u just care about clickbait feels bad for u son. Also, glow is available in Instagram filters. Jsut meet Sam trust me she was glowing (sic).”
The southern diva shared a rare moment of vulnerability with her fans when she opened up about suffering from myositis, a rare autoimmune condition, last year. Recently, after a long time, she made a public appearance, when she attended the trailer launch event of her upcoming period film ‘Shakuntalam’. Written and directed by Gunasekhar, the movie is based on the Kalidasa epic ‘Abhijanashakuntalam’. She will also be seen in a rom-com ‘Kushi’opposite Vijay Deverakonda.
