Samantha Ruth Prabhu fans marvel at her weight loss as she embarks on an exciting ‘new journey’

Samantha Ruth Prabhu is looking like a million bucks! The ‘Majili’ star, who recently embarked on a new journey as the owner of the Chennai chapter of the World Pickleball League, recently took to Instagram to announce the happy news to her fans. The actress emphasised the need to make the nation fitter and to encourage more women in the field of sports.

“I've grown up to realize the need for sport, the need for movement, and the belief that everyone can and should play. Picking up a pickleball team wasn't just a decision; it was a conviction. A nod to the younger me and a commitment to every little girl who's been told she can't. We're here to prove that we absolutely can. Movement is essential for a healthier, fitter, and happier India; it starts with believing in the power of play,” she wrote.

In the video, the actress appeared radiant in a casual chic look. She sported a navy blue shirt and fitting denim jeans. She completed the look with a pair of dark-rimmed glasses and a million-dollar smile.

The actress also penned an emotional post on how she was often discouraged from pursuing sports as a young girl. "To the little girl in class 3 who longed to play with her brothers but couldn't, 'cos only boys could play rough, and she was 'too tiny'. To the young girl in class 8 who was told to focus on getting a 100 in math because volleyball could wait. To the class 10 prefect who toiled away, putting academics first because board exams were a priority,” she wrote.

While her followers were happy to see her start a new chapter in her life, many commented that she was looking more gorgeous than ever and noted her remarkable weight loss.

“She lost so much weight. Stay blessed, Sam!” observed one fan. Another wrote, “She’s the prettiest actress right now; you can’t convince me otherwise.”

Another noted that post-weight loss, the ‘Yeh Maaya Chesave’ star looked uncannily similar to Victoria Neumann, the antagonist of the 2019 Amazon TV adaptation of the comic book series ‘The Boys’. Claudia Doumit, the actress who played the role, has often gone viral for her marked resemblance to Samantha.

On the work front, Samantha was last seen in the romantic drama ‘Kushi’ opposite Vijay Deverakonda. She will next feature in a film titled ‘Bangaram’. She is also set to appear in Raj and DK's upcoming series, ‘Citadel: Honey Bunny’, alongside Varun Dhawan, Kay Kay Menon, and Sikandar Kher. The series is scheduled for release in November this year.
