Samantha Prabhu's dad addresses daughter's divorce, says it took him a 'long time' to overcome the emotions

When Telugu stars Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya announced their separation, the entire nation was in a state of shock. But one of the most affected people was the duo's parents.

The 'Family Man 2' star's father Joseph Prabu took to Facebook to express his feeling in the form of a poem.
"Long long ago,
There was a story,
And it doesn't exist anymore!
So, let's start a new story;
And a new chapter!"


Prabu posted these lines when Facebook threw a seven-year-old memory with one of his friends which featured ChaySam's wedding day pictures.

Soon after his post, fans flooded the comment section with messages.

Thanking the fans for their messages, he shared that it took him a 'long time' to overcome his emotions and feelings. "Life is too short to sit down with feelings and get bogged down," he wrote.

Many users have been posting supportive messages in the comment section of Prabu's post. He admitted that the news of them divorcing was 'like bolts from the blues'.

Turns out, Prabu has also found his sense of humour after a year of healing. When a user asked what was the reason for his post, he quickly responded, "You have to study history," with a laughing emoji.

After being married for four years, ChaySam announced that they were getting a divorce in October 2021, just days before their anniversary.

Last month, the South star unveiled the new, fierce poster of her upcoming film 'Yashoda'.

Helmed by the director duo Hari and Harish, 'Yashoda' is a science fiction thriller which was earlier slated to release on August 12, 2022, but the makers opted to postpone their film. The new release date of the film is still awaited.

Meanwhile, the actress made her 'Koffee with Karan' debut alongside Akshay Kumar this year.

On the work front, all set to make her Bollywood debut, Prabhu has reportedly signed her on a project alongside actor Ayushmann Khurrana. Some reports also suggest that she will be seen with actor Varun Dhawan in the remake of Russo Brothers's 'Citadel', which is helmed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK.

Prabhu will also be seen in a mythological drama film 'Shakuntalam' and a romantic comedy film 'Kushi' alongside Vijay Deverakonda, which is all set to hit the theatres on December 23, 2022.
