Salman Khan's cheeky reply on nepotism: ‘Kangana Ranaut's daughter will enter films or politics?

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, known for his larger-than-life persona and unfiltered opinions, recently shared his thoughts on the ongoing nepotism debate in the film industry. During a press event for his upcoming film Sikandar, the actor tackled the subject with his signature humor and candidness.

Speaking at the conference on March 26, 2025, Salman dismissed the idea of anyone being completely self-made, emphasizing the importance of teamwork and opportunities shaped by circumstances. He acknowledged that his own journey in the industry was influenced by his father, veteran writer Salim Khan, whose decision to move from Indore to Mumbai played a crucial role in shaping his (Salman) career. Reflecting on this, he pointed out that without his father’s move, he might have been leading a completely different life in Indore.

The discussion took an amusing turn when the conversation shifted to star kids entering Bollywood. When Raveena Tandon’s daughter, Rasha, was mentioned as an example, Salman misheard and jokingly referenced Kangana Ranaut, playfully speculating whether her future child would enter films or politics. He said, “Ab Kangana ki beti aayengi, to films karengi ya politics join karengi? To unko bhi…” His lighthearted remark added a moment of laughter to the conversation, showcasing his trademark wit.


Meanwhile, Sikandar, Salman’s much-anticipated action film, is all set for release on March 30, just in time for Eid celebrations.
