Salman’s Fees and Reduced Hosting Stint
According to a report from Hindustan Times, Salman Khan is charging approximately Rs 10 crore per weekend to host this season. However, as per Times Now, unlike previous seasons where he hosted the entire show, Salman will be present for only 15 weeks, roughly three months. This arrangement reportedly brings his total earnings for Bigg Boss 19 to around Rs 150 crore—a significant decrease from the Rs 250 crore he earned for Bigg Boss 18 and Rs 200 crore for Bigg Boss 17.The report states industry sources suggest that the reduction in his fee is directly linked to the shorter hosting schedule. Had Salman hosted the full season, his remuneration would likely have been on par with previous years.
After completing 15 weeks, Salman is expected to hand over hosting duties to guest anchors. Names like Farah Khan and Karan Johar are reportedly in consideration, both of whom have previously stepped in as interim hosts when Salman was unavailable. This shared hosting arrangement is considered the primary reason behind the reduction in his paycheck.
