Amid the escalating US–Israel–Iran conflict, many flight schedules have been disrupted, leaving several travellers stranded at airports. Several celebrities have also faced difficulties in the United Arab Emirates. Recently, popular music composer Santhosh Narayanan shared his experience of leaving Qatar just ahead of airport shutdowns.

Santosh Narayanan shares how he escaped from Qatar during US-Israel-Iran conflict

Santhosh took to X (formerly Twitter) to share how he narrowly escaped Qatar amid rising tensions. A few hours later, he confirmed that he had landed safely in the United States. He wrote, “My Qatar flight was probably the very last to leave the Middle East before the complete shutdown of airports. Just connected via Starlink as I am flying into the U.S. Praying for the safety of all my brothers and sisters in the region."



After landing safely in the US, he reassured his fans and well-wishers. “I have reached the US safely. Thank you for your concerned messages and prayers,” he added.

For the unversed, Santhosh made his debut in Pa Ranjith's directorial venture Attakathi. Over the years, he has carved his own niche in the industry. in 2025, he also composed background music for Salman Khan's Sikandar, Suriya's Retro and Vijay Sethupathi's Thalaivan Thalaivii. Up next, he is working in Kamal Haasan-Sivakarthikeyan's Seyon. Sivakumar Murgesan is directing the film.

According to an ANI report, the situation has heightened fears of a wider regional conflict, with emergency measures and public anxiety increasing as developments continue to unfold. Israel declared a nationwide state of emergency, moved hospitals underground, and activated warning sirens. Iran, Israel, and Iraq have closed their airspace, suspending all flights.


On Sunday (March 1), reports claimed that Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei had been declared dead in the strikes. His office reportedly announced a period of national mourning, with flags flying at half-mast and public gatherings planned to pay respects, marking the end of a 37-year chapter in the Islamic Republic’s history.
