After Big B, Salman Khan joins the NFT craze, to launch his digital collectibles in December & his fans are all for it

Bollywood seems to be down with the non-fungible tokens (NFTs) fever as actor Salman Khan on Wednesday announced that he will be releasing his own NFTs collection for fans soon.

The actor took to Twitter to informed his over 43 million followers. “Aa raha hoon main, NFTs leke. (Coming soon with NFTs),” Khan tweeted.



Khan's NFT collection will be released on BollyCoin, which is an NFT marketplace for Bollywood assets as per description provided on its website. The 55-year-old actor will release his static NFTs on this website in December. The platform was started by Bollywood actor-turned producer and director Atul Agnihotri.

BollyCoin will be aunctioning some of the biggest digital collectibles from the film industry so that fans can own NFTs of their favourite stars. With the boom of digital collectibles in 2021, many have entered the world of NFTs, cryptocurrencies and virtual art as the world completely went online due the pandemic.

As soon as the news about Khan's foray in to the digital world of NFT broke out, fans couldn't contain their excitement and took to his tweet's thread to join in on the celebration.




From Bollywood, Khan isn't the first celebrity to join the NFT craze as veteran star Amitabh Bachchan was the first to hop on the band wagon. Earlier in September, the actor launched his own NFTs with BeyondLife.club, becoming the first Bollywood star to do so. The NFT collections by Bachchan include his recitals of poems Madhushala, written by renowned poet and his father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, anecdotes from his colourful acting career, personalised signed posters among other things.
