Salman Khan death threat: The Mumbai Police has issued a lookout circular (LOC) against an Indian student for allegedly sending a threatening email to Bollywood star Salman Khan.

The Indian student, who is pursuing medical education in the United Kingdom, will likely return to India by the end of 2023 once his academic session ends, a police official informed PTI on Tuesday.

The official further informed that the cops have initiated the process to bring the student back to India as he has been identified as the sender of the threatening email.

During the investigation, the police found that the student hails from Haryana and is in his third year of medical course. The cops have also ruled out any link between this email and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldie Brar.

As per officials, the Mumbai Police suspect the student had allegedly sent threatening messages to Khan in the name of jailed gangster Goldy Brar in March.

A few days ago, Khan had received an e-mail on one of his official IDs which stated that the actor should meet gangster Bishnoi's aide Brar and sort their differences once and for all, or be ready to face the consequences.

During an appearance on a TV show, Khan spoke about the Y category security which was allotted to him by the Mumbai Police after he received death threats.

"Security is better than insecurity. Yes, security is there. Now it is not possible to ride a bicycle on the road and go alone anywhere. And more than that, now I have this problem that when I am in traffic, there is so much security, vehicles creating inconvenience to other people. They also give me a look. And my poor fans. There is a serious threat that's why there is security," the 57-year-old actor had said at the TV show.
