Salman hit-and-run: Rishi Kapoor slams singer Abhijeet for 'footpath' tweet

Rishi Kapoor is the latest to express outrage over singer Abhijeet’s tweets on homeless people after Salman Khan was sentenced to five years in prison by a Mumbai court on Wednesday.

In a bunch of tweets, the veteran actor put forth his disgust at the singer’s callous tweet in which the latter had said how it was normal for people to die if they slept on the street and that Salman should not be punished for such a crime.

Kapoor, in fact, went on to tweet that only Salman’s sycophants were siding with him without furnishing any logical explanation for the judgment.

He also took a swipe at Ejaz Khan, Naseer Abdullah and Dalip Tahil and called them “unemployed and wannabe actors”, who were being ridiculous in their support.

Right after the verdict was delivered, the actor had expressed solidarity for Salman Khan and his family.

Kapoor, a fairly-recent entrant on Twitter, has been very articulate in his views. Recently, he courted controversy in 140-characters over the Maharashtra government banning beef.
