Hunkkaar’s teaser opens to a close-up shot of Aneet Padda’s Meenu inside a police station. Meenu, accompanied by another woman, tells the police officer that she is 17 years old and a student at Shaburi Fort in the Mahasherni School, owned by Baapji. When the officer asks Meenu what brings her here, she states bluntly that she wants to file a complaint against Baapji for violating and sexually assaulting her.The officer, visibly taken aback by the confession, tells Meenu that once the police department is done interrogating Baapji, he will register her complaint. While the other woman agrees and gets up, Meenu refuses to budge from her chair. She slowly locks eyes with the officer and says, ‘I will wait here till then’, with quiet determination and resistance. Her eyes do all the talking here.

Hunkkaar’s teaser also displays Fatima Sana Shaikh playing the role of a police inspector, assigned to the case’s investigation. Glimpses of ritualistic settings, eerie scenes and a mysterious atmosphere pull the audience in. The teaser also offers a sneak peek of the other cast members, including Ram Kapoor, Mohd Zeeshan Ayuub, Arjun Mathur, and Zoya Hussain.Sharing the teaser, Aneet Padda confessed that she had filmed Hunkaar before Saiyaara. The 23-year-old wrote, ‘Presenting a little something I shot before Saiyaara. Hunkkaar has been a part of my journey for a while, and I am glad to finally share it with you all. Nahi hoga insaaf ka intezaar, bas goonjegi sachhai ki Hunkkaar. (There will be no waiting for justice, only the roaring echoes of truth).
