Sailing in two boats

As a school-going lad in New Delhi, Devendra Bharma, Executive Vice President, Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, did more than floating boats on a running stream. He actually sailed with classmates down the then expansive River Yamuna.

These days, the river has run quite dry as has time for the now Mumbai-based Bharma.

"Simply no time to pursue my passion,” cites Bharma, wistfully hoping to make some alterations to his Saturday schedule and squeeze in some time on the water. On land though, he is doing a fine job captaining his ship. The Oberoi, Mumbai has just been ranked by Institutional Investor as the best hotel in the world.
