Saif Ali Khan spotted at Palladium in Mumbai

Faith doesn't just move mountains. It also makes escalators heading up go downwards.

Saif Ali Khan's presence at Palladium, Mumbai, to open the store of Italian luxury brand Montegrappa, recently sent media and onlookers into wild frenzy. Displaying the Indian gift for mobbing and creating chaos out of nothing, some fans and journalists crowded the actor and his baffled Italian hosts.

After inaugurating the ground floor space, Saif and the brand representatives took the escalator to the first floor, where the brand's store is located. The throngs followed them, causing the overloaded escalator to slide down for a few moments.

When the actor finally reached the relative safety of the shop, staff locked up the gates. Still, the pack outside did not relent, pressing against the glass doors. Famous products are often put through stress tests to evaluate their toughness. For Montegrappa, this too was a stress test of a kind.
