Saeed Anwar and Inzamam-Ul-Haq — a lasting partnership

For someone who began his career with a pair to holding the record for the highest individual One Day International score (194 not out), Saeed Anwar did more than just well for Pakistan cricket. His captain, the softspoken towering batsman who took his own sweet time to reach the pitch and then some more before a bowler could think of outfoxing him, Inzamam-Ul-Haq is often regarded as one of the greatest batsman Pakistan has produced.

One redefined top-order batting that exuded pure class while the other rose to be counted among the country’s most respected cricket captains; Anwar and Inzy have a few too many feathers to their caps. And while both have shared a few successful partnerships on fi eld, it only made sense to them to forge another one, post retirement away from cricket.

The duo now run a chain of meat stores called Meat One, dedicated to selling healthy and fresh meat in Pakistan and UAE. From their famous cuts on the cricket ground, Anwar and Inzy find themselves busy with beef, mutton and chicken cuts at Meat One.

One wonders if they had these plans chalked out while they butchered famous bowling attacks. Pun intended.
