Sachin Tendulkar to tie up with mobile wallet firm

If further proof was needed that mobile wal let companies were getting mainstream, it is here. Some weeks ago, Paytm became the sponsors of the Indian cricket team with a landmark deal with the BCCI ( Board of Control for Cricket in India). Now, Indian cricket’s biggest name, Sachin Tendulkar, will endorse a mobile wallet brand. The announcement will be made in Mumbai today. Tendulkar retired in 2013 after a 24-year career, but still commands universal respect and love.

Cricket stars have endorsed brick and mortar firms for generations. Of late, they have realised the potential of ecommerce. Tendulkar’s new endorsement further solidifies this trend.
