Sachin Tendulkar back home, says he will continue Covid recovery in isolation

The former Team India captain took to Twitter to inform his 35.4 million followers that he was discharged from the hospital on Thursday, and is now recuperating in home isolation at his Mumbai residence.

The cricketer was hospitalised last week on April 2 as a precautionary measure after testing positive for COVID-19. He had tested positive for the dreaded virus on March 27.


The 47-year-old sportsman thanked all his well-wishers for the prayers.


The Master Blaster also thanked the medical staff for taking care of him during the hospitalisation. "I remain ever grateful to all the medical staff who took such good care of me & have been working tirelessly for over a year in such difficult circumstances," he added.

Earlier, Tendulkar had confirmed that all his other family members had tested negative.

The legendary right-handed batsman had taken part in the Road Safety World Series Challenge veterans' tournament in Raipur last month. He ad led the Indian team to victory in that event.
