Sachdev sisters bring Oscar de la Renta’s collection to India
Fashion fanatics have a legit reason to celebrate. Oscar de la Renta, the eponymous American luxe designer label that has had women lusting after its exquisite gowns for over five decades, is finally making its way to India. Priya and Charu Sachdev, owners of luxury boutique Kitsch and online portal RockNShop, say that getting the brand to India has been an “exhilarating experience”.

The brand lost its 82-year-old founder and designer to cancer in October 2014.

The ODLR Spring 2015 collection, helmed by the brand’s newly-appointed creative director Peter Copping, debuts in Mumbai soon. Buzz is that the sisters are busy planning an exclusive mid-March party for the crème de la crème of society to showcase the line. “The collection had barely hit the runway when we went ahead of ourselves, planning in our heads, how we’d like to introduce the brand on both Kitsch and RockNShop,” says an excited Priya.
