The true hacker makes a lifestyle choice of living outside The System. The group that calls itself Legion has focused on hacking and making information from emails public and hijacking Twitter handles of public personalities. As the Indian media tentatively tries to learn more, Legion’s shadowy members have said that they are “anarchists” and a “bunch of computer g33kz addicted to crime and drugz” (and to pointless incorrect spelling). Teens with an agenda can be such a handful.

Legion plans to data-dump emails of members of Parliament, or anyone with a sansad.nic.in account. This could include former Rajya Sabha MPs like Vijay Mallya. Which leads some living even more outside The System to believe that Legion could be an Intelligence Bureau unit with a very generous entertainment account. Unless they are members of a rapidly disillusioned but publicly-toeing-the-line media.
